Estate work is one of Marcela's favorite parts of this business, next to working with first-time buyers and investors— Estate work is the part of Real Estate she takes most personally.
Here's what it usually looks like; A parent or loved one has passed. The children have their own lives, their own jobs, their own cities. Somebody must deal with the auction or estate sale, the cleanout, the flooring, working with the probate attorney, the repairs nobody got around to. Nobody wants it to be them.
It doesn't have to be.
Marcela has every vendor that house needs already in her network — auction coordinators, estate sale organizers, cleanout crews, flooring, paint as well as other home contractors, landscapers, stagers. She's fluent in probate and has worked alongside estate attorneys many times.
-If you never want to set foot in that house again, you don't have to. -
"She'll treat what's inside the way you'd want it treated, she listens to you. "- a Seller's family member
"A lot of people don't respect people that have passed away — their belongings, their life.
When I'm getting a home ready for listing, I always take a moment to really think about their life: who they were, what they accomplished, what they loved to do, their hobbies. You find all of that as you're preparing the house to sell, in speaking to family, friends and neighbors of the deceased.
I feel like I'm their last voice for their house and like to keep as much off the shoulders of all involved on the Estate side as my respect for them and the family." Marcela Egea
That is not a marketing line. That is why this part of the business exists.
